BUNKER BREAK
Game Description
The game consists of six unique levels, each presenting its own challenges as you fight your way deeper through a mysterious underground bunker. Every area introduces new enemies, environmental hazards, and obstacles that test your survival skills. Managing ammunition, exploring carefully, and making the most of the weapons you discover are essential to staying alive. As you progress, you will find an expanding arsenal of firearms that improves your chances against the growing number of infected inhabitants.
Throughout the bunker, players can uncover logs, letters, and other documents left behind by former personnel. These records gradually reveal that the facility was secretly used by the Soviet Union to conduct teleportation experiments. What began as scientific research ultimately led to a catastrophic disaster, leaving the bunker abandoned and overrun. Rather than telling the entire story through cutscenes, the game encourages players to piece together the truth by exploring the environment and discovering the evidence scattered throughout the complex.
Atmospheric lighting, environmental storytelling, unsettling sound design, and detailed locations work together to create a tense and immersive experience. Each level uncovers another piece of the bunker's history while increasing the danger, rewarding exploration and persistence as players uncover the truth behind the experiments and fight to survive.

The bunker consists of multiple sectors, each offering a different challenge. Every sector is infested with infected enemies, forcing you to carefully manage your ammunition and resources while searching for better weapons and supplies. As you progress deeper underground, enemy numbers increase, stronger infected appear, and the environment becomes more hostile, creating an increasingly tense survival experience.

About the Developer
Bunker Break is a solo project developed by Žarko Tamburić.
If the first game is successful, Bunker Break 2 will be released for free on Itch.io. It is a much shorter sequel that continues the story of Bunker Break.
This project combines original work with third-party assets. Some models, textures, and other content were created by me, while others were obtained from openly licensed sources, including:
-
MakeHuman – character models
-
Sketchfab – 3D models
-
Freesound and Pixabay – sound effects
All third-party assets used in the game are intended to comply with their respective Creative Commons or other applicable licenses. If you believe an asset has been incorrectly attributed or should not be included, please contact me so I can investigate and resolve the issue promptly.
Respecting creators' work is important to me. I do not claim ownership of assets created by others. For transparency, every game download includes a credits document listing the models, sounds, their sources, and the required attributions where applicable.
Bunker Break does not contain any assets licensed for non-commercial use. However, Bunker Break 2 may include non-commercial assets because it is distributed free of charge and is not sold commercially.
I am continuing to optimize the game before release using LOD, distance fading, occlusion
The final game size is expected to be around 2–3 GB.
Bunker Break is one of my most ambitious projects, and my goal is to create one of the largest games made with Godot while delivering a polished survival horror experience.
